Processional Song -
Our God is Here

Here in this time here in this place
Here we are standing face to face
Here in our hearts here in our lives
Our God is here
Here for the broken here for the strong
Here in this temple we belong
Here in our hearts here in our lives
Our God is here

And we cry holy holy holy are You
We cry holy holy holy and true
Amen we do believe our God is here
Our God is here

Here in the Word God is revealed
Here where the wounded can be healed
Here in our hearts here in our lives
Our God is here
Here we become what we receive
Here in this Eucharistic feast
We are His body living as one
Our God is here

Greeting:

Priest: The Lord be with you.

ALL: And with your spirit.

Gloria

Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace to people of good will.

We praise you, we bless you, we adore you,
We glorify you,
We give you thanks for your great glory.
Lord God, heavenly king,
O God, Almighty Father.

Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace to people of good will.

Lord, Jesus Christ,
Only Begotten Son,
Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father,
You take away the sins of the world,
Have mercy on us.
You take away the sins of the world,
Receive our prayer;
You are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.

Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace to people of good will.

For you alone are the Holy One,
You alone are the Lord,
You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father,
Amen, amen.

Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace to people of good will.

First Reading - Acts 6:1-7

As the number of disciples continued to grow, the Hellenists complained against the Hebrews because their widows
were being neglected in the daily distribution.
So the Twelve called together the community of the disciples and said,
"It is not right for us to neglect the word of God to serve at table. Brothers, select from among you seven reputable men,
filled with the Spirit and wisdom,
whom we shall appoint to this task,
whereas we shall devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word."
The proposal was acceptable to the whole community, so they chose Stephen, a man filled with faith and the Holy Spirit,
also Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicholas of Antioch, a convert to Judaism.
They presented these men to the apostles
who prayed and laid hands on them.
The word of God continued to spread,
and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly;
even a large group of priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

The Word of the Lord.

ALL: Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm - Psalm 33

R. Lord let your mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you.

Second Reading -
1 Peter 2:4-9

Beloved:
Come to him, a living stone, rejected by human beings but chosen and precious in the sight of God, and, like living stones,
let yourselves be built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices
acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
For it says in Scripture:
Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion,
a cornerstone, chosen and precious,
and whoever believes in it shall not be put to shame.

Therefore, its value is for you who have faith, but for those without faith:
The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone,
and
A stone that will make people stumble,
and a rock that will make them fall.

They stumble by disobeying the word, as is their destiny.

You are "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may announce the praises" of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

The Word of the Lord.

ALL: Thanks be to God.

(please stand)

Gospel Acclamation

R: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Cantor: Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed;
let us then feast with joy in the Lord.

R: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Gospel - John 14:1-12

Priest or Deacon: The Lord be with you.
ALL: And with your spirit.

Priest/Deacon: A reading from the Gospel according to John.
ALL: Glory to you, O Lord (while make a small sign of the Cross on the forehead, lips, and chest).

Jesus said to his disciples:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You have faith in God; have faith also in me.
In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not,
would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.
Where I am going you know the way."
Thomas said to him,
"Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?"
Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, then you will also know my Father.
From now on you do know him and have seen him."
Philip said to him,
"Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us."
Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you for so long a time
and you still do not know me, Philip?
Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?
The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own.
The Father who dwells in me is doing his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me,
or else, believe because of the works themselves.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these,
because I am going to the Father."

The Gospel of the Lord.

ALL: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer for Our Lady of Angels Parish

Heavenly Father, we thank you for gathering us together and calling us to serve as your disciples.
You have charged us through your Son, Jesus, with the great mission of evangelizing and witnessing your love to the world.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we discern your will for the spiritual renewal of our parish.
Give us strength, courage, and clear vision as we use our gifts to serve you.
We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother, and ask for her intercession and guidance, as we strive to build a parish that loves God, embraces all people, and shares the Gospel joyfully.

Thank You, God,
for Saving Me

Offertory: Thank You God For Saving Me

What can I give to You
What can I offer to a King
For all the love You've shown
For all Your mercy over me

I called Your name You heard my cry
Out of the grave and into life
My heart is Yours my soul is free
Thank You God for saving me
Thank You God for saving me

The Rock of Salvation
My hope is built on nothing less
Morning by morning
How great is Your faithfulness

You gave Your life upon the cross
You suffered once for all
You made a way
Jesus in victory You rose
You made us all Your own
Now we are saved

Communion Song -
Run to the Father

I've carried a burden for too long on my own
I wasn't created to bear it alone
I hear Your invitation to let it all go
I see it now I'm laying it down
And I know that I need You

I run to the Father
I fall into grace
I'm done with the hiding
No reason to wait
My heart needs (found) a surgeon
My soul needs (found) a friend
So I'll run to the Father
Again and again
And again and again

You saw my condition
Had a plan from the start
Your Son for redemption
The price for my heart
I don't have a context
For that kind of love
I don't understand
I can't comprehend
All I know is I need You

My heart has been in Your sights
Long before my first breath
Running into Your arms
Is running to life from death
I feel this rush deep in my chest
Your mercy is calling out
Just as I am You pull me in
And I know I need You now

Recessional Hymn -
Chosen Generation

We are a chosen generation
Rise up holy nation
God we live for You
You have called us out of darkness
Into light so glorious
God we live for You

We run with passion for Your name we run
Freedom You've broken ev'ry chain we run
And our God will not be moved
Our God will never be shaken
We run to You we run

Verse 2
And our God will not be moved
Our God will never be shaken
Our God will not be moved
Our God will never be shaken
And our God will not be moved
Our God will never be shaken
We run to You we run

You are ev'rything more than all we need
God we live for You
God we live for You
I found this world to be not enough for me
God we live for You
God we live for You
