Processional Hymn - Love Divine, All Loves Excelling
Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heaven, to earth come down,
Fix in us your humble dwelling,
All your faithful mercies crown.
Jesus source of all compassion,
Love unbounded, love all pure;
Visit us with your salvation,
Let your love in us endure.Come, almighty to deliver,
Let us all your life receive;
Suddenly return, and never,
Nevermore your temples leave.
You we would be always blessing,
Serve you as your hosts above,
Pray, and praise you without ceasing,
Glory in your precious love.Finish then your new creation;
Pure and spotless gracious Lord;
Let us see your great salvation,
Perfectly in you restored.
Changed from glory into glory
Till in heaven, we take our place,
Till we sing before the Almighty,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise!

Liturgy of the Word
First Reading -
1 Samuel 26:2, 7-9, 12-13, 22-23
In those days, Saul went down to the desert of Ziph with three thousand picked men of Israel, to search for David in the desert of Ziph.
So David and Abishai went among Saul’s soldiers by night and found Saul lying asleep within the barricade, with his spear thrust into the ground at his head and Abner and his men sleeping around him.
Abishai whispered to David:
“God has delivered your enemy into your grasp this day. Let me nail him to the ground with one thrust of the spear;
I will not need a second thrust!”
But David said to Abishai, “Do not harm him, for who can lay hands on the LORD’s anointed and remain unpunished?”
So David took the spear and the water jug from their place at Saul’s head, and they got away without anyone’s seeing or knowing or awakening.
All remained asleep, because the LORD had put them into a deep slumber.
Going across to an opposite slope, David stood on a remote hilltop at a great distance from Abner, son of Ner, and the troops.
He said: “Here is the king’s spear. Let an attendant come over to get it. The LORD will reward each man for his justice and faithfulness.
Today, though the LORD delivered you into my grasp, I would not harm the LORD’s anointed.”
The Word of the Lord.
ALL: Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm -Psalm 103
R (8a) The Lord is kind and merciful.
Second Reading -
1 Cor. 15:54-59
Brothers and sisters:
It is written, The first man, Adam, became a living being,the last Adam a life-giving spirit.
But the spiritual was not first; rather the natural and then the spiritual.
The first man was from the earth, earthly;
the second man, from heaven.
As was the earthly one, so also are the earthly, and as is the heavenly one, so also are the heavenly.
Just as we have borne the image of the earthly one, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly one.
The Word of the Lord.
ALL: Thanks be to God.
Gospel Acclamation
R: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
Gospel -
Luke 6:27-38
Priest or Deacon: The Lord be with you.
ALL: And with your spirit.
Priest/Deacon: A reading from the Gospel according to Luke.
ALL: Glory to you, O Lord (while make a small sign of the Cross on the forehead, lips, and chest).
Jesus said to his disciples:
“To you who hear I say, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
To the person who strikes you on one cheek,
offer the other one as well, and from the person who takes your cloak, do not withhold even your tunic.
Give to everyone who asks of you, and from the one who takes what is yours do not demand it back.
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?
Even sinners love those who love them.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you?
Even sinners do the same.
If you lend money to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you?
Even sinners lend to sinners, and get back the same amount.
But rather, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend expecting nothing back;
then your reward will be great and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give, and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.”
The Gospel of the Lord.
ALL: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Homily (please sit)
Nicene Creed (please stand)
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
General Intercessions:
After each prayer, respond: Lord, hear our prayer.
Prayer for Our Lady of Angels Parish
Heavenly Father, we thank you for gathering us together and calling us to serve as your disciples.
You have charged us through your Son, Jesus, with the great mission of evangelizing and witnessing your love to the world.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we discern your will for the spiritual renewal of our parish.
Give us strength, courage, and clear vision as we use our gifts to serve you.
We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother, and ask for her intercession and guidance, as we strive to build a parish that loves God, embraces all people, and shares the Gospel joyfully.

Offertory Song - Where Charity and Love Prevail
Where charity and love prevail,
There God is ever found;
Brought here together by Christ’s love,
By love are we thus bound.
With grateful joy and holy fear
God’s charity we learn;
Let us with heart and mind and soul
Now love God in return.
Forgive we now each other’s faults
As we our faults confess;
And let us love each other well
In Christian holiness.
Let strife among us be unknown,
Let all contention cease;
Be God’s the glory that we seek,
Be ours God’s holy peace.
Let us recall that in our midst
Dwells God’s begotten Son;
As members of his body joined,
We are in Christ made one.
No race or creed can love exclude,
if honored be God’s name;
Our family embraces all
whose Father is the same.

Communion Antiphon

Communion Song - Build My Life
Worthy of ev'ry song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of ev'ry breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Jesus the name above ev'ry other name
Jesus the only one who could ever save
Worthy of ev'ry breath we could ever breathe
We live for You, We live for You
Holy there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder and show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me
I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken
