Processional Hymn - Our God Is Here

Here in this time here in this place
Here we are standing face to face
Here in our hearts here in our lives
Our God is here
Here for the broken here for the strong
Here in this temple we belong
Here in our hearts here in our lives
Our God is here

And we cry holy holy holy are You
We cry holy holy holy and true
Amen we do believe our God is here
Our God is here

Here in the Word God is revealed
Here where the wounded can be healed
Here in our hearts here in our lives
Our God is here
Here we become what we receive
Here in this Eucharistic feast
We are His body living as one
Our God is here

1st Reading – Deuteronomy 26:4-10

Moses spoke to the people, saying:
“The priest shall receive the basket from you and shall set it in front of the altar of the LORD, your God.
Then you shall declare before the Lord, your God, ‘My father was a wandering Aramean who went down to Egypt with a small household and lived there as an alien.
But there he became a nation great, strong, and numerous.
When the Egyptians maltreated and oppressed us, imposing hard labor upon us, we cried to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and he heard our cry and saw our affliction, our toil, and our oppression.
He brought us out of Egypt with his strong hand and outstretched arm, with terrifying power, with signs and wonders; and bringing us into this country, he gave us this land flowing with milk and honey.
Therefore, I have now brought you the firstfruits of the products of the soil which you, O LORD, have given me.’
And having set them before the LORD, your God, you shall bow down in his presence.”

Responsorial Psalm – Psalm 91

R. Be with me, Lord when I am in trouble. Be with me, Lord, be with me.

2nd Reading – Romans 10:8-13

Brothers and sisters:
What does Scripture say?
The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart
—that is, the word of faith that we preach—, for, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
For the Scripture says:
No one who believes in him will be put to shame.
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all, enriching all who call upon him.
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Gospel – Luke 4:1-13

Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, to be tempted by the devil.
He ate nothing during those days, and when they were over he was hungry.
The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
Jesus answered him, “It is written, One does not live on bread alone.”
Then he took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a single instant.
The devil said to him, “I shall give to you all this power and glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I may give it to whomever I wish.
All this will be yours, if you worship me.”
Jesus said to him in reply, “It is written, You shall worship the Lord, your God, and him alone shall you serve.
Then he led him to Jerusalem, made him stand on the parapet of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, for it is written: He will command his angels concerning you, to guard you, and: With their hands they will support you, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Jesus said to him in reply, “It also says, You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.
When the devil had finished every temptation, he departed from him for a time.

Prayer for Our Lady of Angels Parish

Heavenly Father, we thank you for gathering us together and calling us to serve as your disciples.
You have charged us through your Son, Jesus, with the great mission of evangelizing and witnessing your love to the world.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we discern your will for the spiritual renewal of our parish.
Give us strength, courage, and clear vision as we use our gifts to serve you.
We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother, and ask for her intercession and guidance, as we strive to build a parish that loves God, embraces all people, and shares the Gospel joyfully.

Amen.

Offertory Hymn - Nothing I Hold Onto

I lean not on my own understanding
My life is in the hands of the maker of heaven

I give it all to You God
Trusting that You'll make
Something beautiful out of me

I will climb this mountain
With my hands wide open

There's nothing I hold onto
There's nothing I hold onto

Communion Hymn - Here I Am To Worship

Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes let me see
Beauty that made
This heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You

So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
And You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

King of all days
Oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came
To the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor

And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

Recessional Hymn - Yes Lord

I hear a whisper in the night.
Your loving voice I've heard a thousand times.
Calling me out on the waves.
To the place where I can only stand by faith.
It's what I'm made for anyway.

I say Yes, Lord. I say Yes, Lord.
I say, Yes. My life is yours.
When you call me, I come running.
I say Yes, my life is yours.

For there is no one else like you.
You won my heart when you ripped that veil in two.
I hold nothing in these hands. Just your promise to be with me til the end.
Jesus, lead me on again.

I say Yes, Lord. I say Yes, Lord.
I say, Yes. My life is yours.
When you call me, I come running.
I say Yes, my life is yours.

On that day when I go home.
And see my Jesus seated on his throne.
I'll find a crown upon my head.
A thousand jewels for every yes I've said
and I'll offer it right back to him.

I say Yes, Lord. I say Yes, Lord.
I say, Yes. My life is yours.
When you call me, I come running.
I say Yes, my life is yours.

This isn't a one-time thing,
This isn't a one-time thing.
This isn't a one-time thing.
I'm signing up for the rest of my life.
