Opening Song - All Creatures of Our God and King
All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
Oh, praise Him!
Alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam
Thou silver moon with softer gleam
Oh, praise Him!
Oh, praise Him!
Alleluia!
Alleluia!
Alleluia!
Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sail in heav'n along
Oh, praise Him!
Alleluia!
Thou rising moon in praise rejoice
Ye lights of evening find a voice
Oh, praise Him!
Oh, praise Him!
Alleluia!
Alleluia!
Alleluia!
Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness
Oh, praise Him!
Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father praise the Son
And praise the Spirit three in one
Oh, praise Him!
Oh, praise Him!
Alleluia!
Alleluia!
Alleluia!

First Reading - 1 Kings 19:4-8
Elijah went a day’s journey into the desert until he came to a broom tree and sat beneath it.
He prayed for death saying: “This is enough, O LORD! Take my life, for I am no better than my fathers.”
He lay down and fell asleep under the broom tree, but then an angel touched him and ordered him to get up and eat.
Elijah looked and there at his head was a hearth cake and a jug of water.
After he ate and drank, he lay down again, but the angel of the LORD came back a second time, touched him, and ordered, “Get up and eat, else the journey will be too long for you!”
He got up, ate, and drank; then strengthened by that food, he walked forty days and forty nights to the mountain of God, Horeb. The Word of the Lord.
ALL: Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm -
Psalm 34
R. Taste and see the goodness of the Lord, the goodness of the Lord, the goodness of the Lord
Second Reading -
Ephesians 4:30-5:2
Brothers and sisters:
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were sealed for the day of redemption.
All bitterness, fury, anger, shouting, and reviling must be removed from you, along with all malice.
And be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
So be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma.
The Word of the Lord.
ALL: Thanks be to God.
Gospel Acclamation
R: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
Gospel -
John 6:41-51
Priest or Deacon: The Lord be with you.
ALL: And with your spirit.
Priest/Deacon: A reading from the Gospel according to John.
ALL: Glory to you, O Lord (while make a small sign of the Cross on the forehead, lips, and chest).
The Jews murmured about Jesus because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven,” and they said, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph?
Do we not know his father and mother?
Then how can he say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”
Jesus answered and said to them, “Stop murmuring among yourselves.
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him, and I will raise him on the last day.
It is written in the prophets:
They shall all be taught by God.
Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.
Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father.
Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life.
Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”
The Gospel of the Lord.
ALL: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Homily (please sit)
Nicene Creed (please stand)
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
General Intercessions:
After each prayer, respond: Lord, hear our prayer.

Give us strength, courage, and clear vision as we use our gifts to serve you.
We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother, and ask for her intercession and guidance, as we strive to build a parish that loves God, embraces all people, and shares the Gospel joyfully.

Offertory Song - We Belong to You
We belong to You O Lord of our longing
We belong to You
In our daily living dying and rising
We belong to You
In the waters of Your mercy
When the old becomes the new
Souls united in the myst'ry
We belong to You
2. Filled with gifts and filled with goodness
Spirit breathing life into
All who seek to find their purpose
We belong to You
3. When we share the bread You've broken
With the many and the few
We are blessed and we are broken
We belong to You
4. We are called to share Your word Lord
In all we say and all we do
As our journey moves us onward
We belong to You
We belong to You
We belong to You

Invitation to Communion

communion procession. Place your arms across your chest to indicate you would like to receive this blessing.)
Communion Song- I Am the Bread of Life
I am the bread of life
You who come to Me shall not hunger
And who believe in Me shall not thirst
No one can come to Me
Unless the Father beckons
And I will raise you up
And I will raise you up
And I will raise you up on the last day
2. The bread that I will give
Is My flesh for the life of the world
And if you eat of this bread
You shall live forever
You shall live forever
3. Unless you eat
of the flesh of the Son of Man
and drink of his blood
and drink of his blood
you shall not have life
within you.
4. I am the resurrection
I am the life
If you believe in Me
Even though you die
You shall live forever
5. Yes, Lord, we believe
That You are the Christ
The Son of God
Who has come
Into the world
Communion 2 (if needed) - Gratitude
All my words fall short
I got nothing new
How could I express
All my gratitude
I could sing these songs
As I often do
But every song must end
And You never do
So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
‘Cause all that I have is a hallelujah hallelujah
And I know it’s not much
But I’ve nothing else fit for a king
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
Hallelujah
I’ve got one response
I’ve got just one move
With my arms stretched wide
I will worship You
(Bridge)
Come on my soul
Oh don’t you get shy on me
Lift up your song
‘Cause you’ve got a lion inside of those lungs
Get up and praise the Lord
