The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Processional Hymn - Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God, Almighty

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning, our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea,
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
God everlasting through eternity.

Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye made blindby sin thy glory may not see,
Only thou art holy, there is none beside thee,
Perfect in pow’r, in love and purity.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity.

First Reading - Deuteronomy 4:32-34, 39-40

Moses said to the people:
“Ask now of the days of old, before your time, ever since God created man upon the earth; ask from one end of the sky to the other:
Did anything so great ever happen before?
Was it ever heard of?
Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking from the midst of fire, as you did, and live?
Or did any god venture to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by testings, by signs and wonders, by war, with strong hand and outstretched arm, and by great terrors, all of which the LORD, your God, did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?
This is why you must now know and fix in your heart, that the LORD is God in the heavens above and on earth below, and that there is no other.
You must keep his statutes and commandments that I enjoin on you today, that you and your children after you may prosper, and that you may have long life on the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you forever.”

Responsorial Psalm - Psalm 33

R. Blessed the people the LORD has chosen to be his own.

The word of the LORD is faithful, and all his works to be trusted.
The LORD loves justice and right, and his merciful love fills the earth.
R. Blessed the people the LORD has chosen to be his own.

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, by the breath of his mouth all their host.
He spoke to it and it came to be. He commanded; it stood in place.
R. Blessed the people the LORD has chosen to be his own.

Yes, the LORD’s eyes are on those who fear him, who hope in his merciful love,
to rescue their souls from death, to keep them alive in famine.
R. Blessed the people the LORD has chosen to be his own.

Our soul is waiting for the LORD. He is our help and our shield.
May your merciful love upon us, as we hope in you, O LORD.
R. Blessed the people the LORD has chosen to be his own.

Second Reading - Romans 8:14-17

Brothers and sisters:
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received a Spirit of adoption, through whom we cry, “Abba, Father!”
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.

Gospel - Matthew 28:16-20

The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.
When they all saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.
Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Prayer for Our Lady of Angels Parish

Heavenly Father, we thank you for gathering us together and calling us to serve as your disciples.
You have charged us through your Son, Jesus, with the great mission of evangelizing and witnessing your love to the world.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we discern your will for the spiritual renewal of our parish.
Give us strength, courage, and clear vision as we use our gifts to serve you.
We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother, and ask for her intercession and guidance, as we strive to build a parish that loves God, embraces all people, and shares the Gospel joyfully.

Communion Hymn - Lord, Who at Your First Eucharist

Lord, who at thy first Eucharist did pray
That all your Church might be forever one,
Grant us at ev’ry Eucharist to say
With longing heart and soul, “Your will be done.”
Thus may we all one bread, one body be,
Through this blest Sacrament of Unity.

For all your Church, O Lord, we intercede;
O make our lack of charity to cease;
Draw us the nearer each to each, we plead,
By drawing all to you, O Prince of Peace;
Thus may we all one bread, one body be,
Through this blest Sacrament of Unity.

We pray for those who wander from your fold;
O bring them back, Good Shepherd of the sheep,
Back to the faith which saints believed of old,
Back to the Church which still that faith does keep;
Thus may we all one bread, one body be,
Through this blest Sacrament of Unity.

So, Lord, at length when sacraments shall cease,
May we be one with all your Church above,
One with your saints in one unbroken peace,
One with your saints in one unbounded love;
More blessed still, in peace and love to be
One with the Trinity in Unity.

Spiritual Communion Prayer

My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and I unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen.

Recessional Hymn - O God, Almighty Father

O God, almighty Father,
Creator of all things,
The heavens stand in wonder,
While earth your glory sings.
O most holy Trinity, Undivided unity,
Holy God, mighty God, God immortal be adored!

O Jesus, Word incarnate,
Redeemer most adored,
All glory, praise, and honor
Be yours, O sov’reign Lord.
O most holy Trinity, Undivided unity,
Holy God, mighty God, God immortal be adored!

O God, the Holy Spirit,
Who lives within our soul,
Send forth your light and lead us
To our eternal goal.
O most holy Trinity, Undivided unity,
Holy God, mighty God, God immortal be adored!
