To you I lift up my soul
Oh my God, in you I have trusted.
Let me not be put to shame

Processional Hymn - O Come, O Come Emmanuel

  1. O come, O come, Emmanuel,
    And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to you, O Israel.

  2. O come, O Wisdom from on high,
    Who orders all things mightily;
To us the path of knowledge show,
And teach us in her ways to go.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to you, O Israel.

  3. O come, O come, great Lord of might,
Who to your tribes on Sinai's height
In ancient times once gave the law,
In cloud, and majesty, and awe.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to you, O Israel.

  4. O come, O Rod of Jesse's stem,
    From ev'ry foe deliver them
That trust your mighty power to save,
And give them vict'ry o'er the grave.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to you, O Israel.

Responsorial Psalm 122: Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

Music: C. Alcott

Homily (please sit)

Nicene Creed (please stand)

I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

General Intercessions:

After each prayer, respond: Lord, hear our prayer.

Prayer for Our Lady of Angels Parish

Heavenly Father, we thank you for gathering us together and calling us to serve as your disciples.
You have charged us through your Son, Jesus, with the great mission of evangelizing and witnessing your love to the world.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we discern your will for the spiritual renewal of our parish.
Give us strength, courage, and clear vision as we use our gifts to serve you.
We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother, and ask for her intercession and guidance, as we strive to build a parish that loves God, embraces all people, and shares the Gospel joyfully.

Liturgy of the Eucharist

Offertory Song - Now Is the Hour of Rejoicing

Lift up your hearts with rejoicing
Lowly ones rise up and see
Hope springing up in the desert
A garden befitting a king
Wastelands now blossom in splendor
Shining with beauty and grace
Lands once thought lost and forsaken
Rise up in glorious praise

Praise to the Father praise to the Son
Praise to the Spirit one God who is love
Come sing with joy for now is the time
Now is the hour of rejoicing

Rivers shall run in the dry lands
Streams of abundance shall flow
Waves of great joy for the journey
And leading the exiled back home
Weary legs leap up to greet them
Burdened hearts laugh with delight
Mourning turns swiftly to dancing
No sorrow no tears for the night

Open the pathway before him
The Holy One promised of old
Emmanuel God who is with us
The savior whom prophets foretold
Make wide and straight the king’s highway
Lift up your heads mighty gates
Cry out with joy and with gladness
All you who sleep come awake

Praise to the Father praise to the Son
Praise to the Spirit one God who is love
Come sing with joy for now is the time
Now is the hour of rejoicing
Now is the hour the hour of rejoicing

Communion Song - Light of the World Sing Hallelujah

  1. Light of the World Treasure of Heaven
Brilliant like the stars in the wintery sky
Joy of the Father reach through the darkness
Shine across the earth send the shadows to flight

  2. Light of the World from the beginning
The tragedies of time were no match for Your love
From great heights of glory You saw my story
God You entered in and became one of us

    Sing hallelujah
    Sing hallelujah
Sing hallelujah for the things He has done
    Come and adore Him
    Bow down before Him
Sing hallelujah to the Light of the World

  3. Light of the world crown in a manger
Born for the cross to suffer to save
High King of Heaven death is the poorer
We are the richer by the price that He paid

  4. Light of the World soon will be coming
With fire in His eyes He will ransom His own
Through clouds He will lead us straight into glory
And there He shall reign forevermore forevermore

Communion Song 2 - Even So Come

All of creation
All of the earth
Make straight a highway
A path for the Lord
Jesus is coming soon

Call back the sinner
Wake up the saint
Let every nation
Shout of Your fame
Jesus is coming soon

Like a bride
Waiting for her groom
We'll be a church
Ready for You
Every heart longing for our King
We sing
Even so come
Lord Jesus come

There will be justice
All will be new
Your name forever
Faithful and true
Jesus is coming soon

So we wait
We wait for You
God we wait
You're coming soon
