The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls’ Day) - Saturday 5pm

Welcome to Our Lady of Angels, where we strive "To love God, Embrace all People, and Share the Gospel Joyfully." Visit our website to find out more about our community.

Our mass parts today come from the Roman Missal mass setting and can be found in the blue Gather hymnal: #173. 179, 180a, and 185.

Today we also celebrate the The Rite of Welcome for Candidates for Confirmation. This will take place after the homily.

Entrance Antiphon

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

  1. To you our praise is due in Zion, O God.
To you we pay our vows, you who hear our prayers.

  2. To you all flesh will come with its burden of sin.
Too heavy for us, our offenses, but you wipe them away.

Homily (please sit)

Rite of Welcome for Candidates for Confirmation

Nicene Creed (please stand)

I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen

General Intercessions:

After each prayer, respond: Lord, hear our prayer.

Prayer for Our Lady of Angels Parish

Heavenly Father, we thank you for gathering us together and calling us to serve as your disciples.
You have charged us through your Son, Jesus, with the great mission of evangelizing and witnessing your love to the world.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we discern your will for the spiritual renewal of our parish.
Give us strength, courage, and clear vision as we use our gifts to serve you.
We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother, and ask for her intercession and guidance, as we strive to build a parish that loves God, embraces all people, and shares the Gospel joyfully.

Offertory Song - 713 - Quietly, Peacefully

Quietly, peacefully
let me rest in you.
Quietly, peacefully
lead me back to you,

  1. In my weakness I have strayed,
    drifting far from you.
    In your goodness steady me,
    light my path to you.

  2. Breathe your law deep in me,
    plant it in my soul.
Let your justice be my song,
    kindness be my goal.

  3. Save me from my selfish ways,
    keep me from my pride.
By your grace, bring me home, safely by your side.

Communion Song - 975 - Peace Be with Those

Peace be with those who have gone to God.
May they be at peace, may they be with God.
Peace be with those who have gone to God.
May they be at peace, may they be with God.

  1. May they be with the living God.
Be at peace, be with God.
May they see the immortal God.
Be at peace, be with God.

  2. May they find their delight in the Lord.
Be at peace, be with God.
May they rest secure in God.
Be at peace, be with God.

  3. May they be where God’s name is great.
Be at peace, be with God.
May they live in eternal peace.
Be at peace, be with God.

  4. May they find a forgiving God.
Be at peace, be with God.
Now and on the judgment day.
Be at peace, be with God.

  5. May they dwell in the house of God. Be at peace, be with God.
May they live in eternal light.
Be at peace, be with God.

Be at peace, be with God.
May they rest forever in peace.
Be at peace, be with God.

Marian Antiphon - Salve Regina

Salve Regina, Mater misericordiae,
vita, dulcedo et spes nostr, salve.
ad te clamamus
exsules filii Hevae,
ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
in hac lacrimarum valle.

Eia, ergo, advocata nostra, illos tuos
misericordes oculos ad nos converte;
et Jesum, benedictum fructum ventris tui,
nobis post hoc exsilium ostende.
O clemens, O pia, O dulcis Virgo Maria.

Recessional Hymn - 980- May the Angels Lead You into Paradise

May the angels lead you into paradise;
may the martyrs come to welcome you
and take you to the holy city,
the new and eternal Jerusalem. (2x)

May the choirs of angels welcome you
where Lazarus is poor no longer.
May you have eternal rest;
May you have eternal rest.
